Registration for the 2025 WLMB Marching Band Season will take place in person on Tues, April 15 OR Wed, April 16 between 6:30 - 8:00pm in the Walled Lake Central Main Hallway (Central Avenue).
Each marching band member and parent only need to attend one date or the other.
You may come at any time within the time frame. Students are required to attend since we will be doing fitting for parts of our uniforms for the season at that time.
We are so excited for this season! It will be amazing! We can't wait to see old friends and welcome our new members as well!
WLMB Marching Band Registration Instructions

PRIOR to attending in-person registration, families must complete the first 4 parts of registration below:
PART 1) Complete the 2025 WLMB Online Registration Form
PART 2) Sign Up for (or sign in and review your account) on Membership Toolkit (This is required as it is our system for email communications & account information for the season.): Go to https://wlbands.membershiptoolkit.com/, create an account and verify your account via the email they will send you. You will need to enter all parent and child information.
RETURNING BAND MEMBERS: You will need to log-in to Membership Toolkit after April 1st and verify that all of your information is still correct and then it will move you to the 'Active' status for this year. If you do not log-in and verify your information, you will show as inactive for the season.
PART 3) Communications
a) Download the "BAND" app on your phone and join the appropriate groups (This is required for both parent and student as it is our system for text communications for the season from both the directors and the band boosters. Students will use this to communicate with their sections as well.)

PART 4) Required PRINTED PAPERWORK & Season Information. Print out and fill out (or preview) the 2025 WLMB Registration Paperwork Packet. We will have copies available at registration for those who are unable to print from home. This contains important parent & student info, as well as paper forms that will need to be turned in during registration. This also includes a list of rehearsal and performance dates for the year! If you print from home, please print the pages one-sided for turn in.
At In-Person Registration on April 15th or 16th
(Students are required to attend):
1) We will confirm that parents & students have ALREADY completed the 2025 WLMB Online Registration Form & activated or renewed their information in Membership Toolkit. If not, families will be required to complete these on the spot.
2) Students will turn in required paper forms from the 2025 WLMB Registration Paperwork Packet
The physical is the only item in the packet that will need to be completed by a physician on or after April 15th and returned at a later date.
3) New students will be fitted for marching band shoes to order. These shoes are ~$47 and students will need to order them online once they are fitted. This cost is not included in the marching band dues payments. (Guard members will not need to be fitted for their shoes at registration, you will order yours at a later date.)
4) WHAT TO WEAR TO REGISTRATION to be fitted for your uniform:
ALL Students (with the exception of Guard) will be fitted for new show shirts for the year, as well as uniform pants.
Please wear a t-shirt AND shorts/leggings/athletic pants (NO JEANS or bulky pants) so that you can easily try on marching band pants (called bibbers) and try on the uniform sizer over top of your t-shirt. (As of 4/13/25 we have decided to wait and size the pants later in the season)
(Guard members will not need to be fitted for their costumes at registration, you will be fitted at a later date.)
SHOES! Returning members, check your shoes to see If they still fit and are in excellent condition. If they are showing any signs of wear, tearing, creases, etc, you will need to order new ones. If you aren't sure, bring your shoes with you to Registration to show Mrs. DeZell!
5) Students will turn in the first $225 payment for their marching band dues, or can prepay the $1350 for the season.
Checks should be made out to "WLCMB". Families can also show proof of payment of this first $225 paid via Membership Toolkit.
This year we are offering great incentives for prepaid FULL dues at registration! Pay the $1350 dues for the season at registration (or make a full payment for each month's dues online via Membership Toolkit before registration) to:

6) At registration parents will have the opportunity to choose between different volunteering opportunities to support the band this year!
Important Note about Physicals:
A sports physical form dated ON or AFTER April 15, 2025 Is REQUIRED for students to participate in the Marching Band. Please schedule an appointment with your pediatrician or doctor to complete these forms between April 15th and July 18th, 2025. Students must have the physical turned in before July 18th in order to practice the next week. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are unable to go to your own doctor during this time frame, most Urgent Care locations will complete physical forms for an additional charge.
Dues for the season are $1350 per student.
These dues can be paid all at once or in 6 monthly payments of $225. The first $225 payment is due on the day of Registration in April. Subsequent monthly payments are due by the 1st of each month: June 1st, July 1st, Aug 1st, Sept 1st and Oct 1st.

These marching band dues will go directly toward our operating costs for the season, including professional marching and musical design & instruction, custom fit uniforms, travel & entry into state, local and national competitions and meals at band camp, on long practice days and competition days.
We will also have multiple fundraising efforts to raise the remaining funds for our operating costs.
