Committee Chairs Needed for 2025

Thank you to all parents who have volunteered as committee chairs for the 2025 Season!!

Parents with students who are new to the band this year: There is NO better way to get to know the program and other parents than by volunteering to help with a committee! Take this first year to see what everything is all about and then we would love to have you help run a committee next year when we have senior parents who will be leaving some positions!

If you are ready to take more of a leadership role, you don't need to wait until next year! Contact Macy Selecman, macyselecman@wlmarchingband.org if you are interested in helping further!

Open Board/Committee Chair Positions for 2025:

Committee Chair needed to plan the After-States party on Nov 2 (with help of other volunteers)

Coordinate to bring snacks and games/activities/decorations to the VFW hall the day after State Finals.
Provide communication about this event to go out in the band buzz

Photographer for WLW band events for this 2025-26 school year

We are In need of a photographer for Western football games and concerts for this upcoming 25-26 school year.

Shadow to train as Uniform Chair in 2025 to be a full co-chair in 2026

Size students for all parts of uniforms, arrange for alterations if needed
Distribute show shirts & shoes when they arrive
Help students get into uniform before leaving for performances
Help students learn to hang uniforms correctly and maintain tidy uniform room throughout the season

Shadow as a photographer for WLMB this year to take over as chair in 2026

Our WLMB photographer, Katie Hutchinson has seniors this year. We are in need of someone to take over for her in 2026 to take photos and post them on our SmugMug website. :) Are you able to help work with her this year? Let us know!

2025 Parent Volunteer Sign-Ups!

Throughout the season, we will have MANY needs for parent volunteers, from chaperoning rehearsals and home camp, to serving meals to the students during rehearsals, to chaperoning at competitions. Be on the lookout for volunteer requests in our weekly Band Buzz emails each week throughout the season!
